A small escape in the middle of Thamel

Koh Bar started as a simple idea — to create a space in Thamel that feels different. A place where people can slow down, feel comfortable, and actually enjoy the moment. Thamel has many great bars, but most are loud, crowded, or feel similar. We wanted something more intimate and personal.

The tiki concept came from the love for island culture — laid-back energy, creative drinks, and attention to detail — but with a Nepali soul. The interior is shaped by Mithila art: hand-drawn motifs, earthy textures, and warm details that make every corner feel intentional. Good drinks, a space you actually want to stay in, and genuinely friendly service.
